I teach physical oceanography and try to link theories to observations. Both of these areas require computation and statistics and I provide instruction on valuable methods. I also teach an advanced class on mathematical models to students from a broad range of backgrounds and again stress calculation and comparison to observations. The course engages students in projects. I regularly teach dynamic physical oceanography (Intro and Advanced), and Mathematical models in Marine Sciences.
